FAQ

  • Which tool coating is best suited to which application?

TiN, TiAlN or ALCRONA coatings increase service life and cutting speed – ideal for demanding materials such as stainless steels or cast iron. Our specialist dealers will be happy to help you decide which coating is suitable for your specific machining technology.

  • What do I need to consider when selecting a boring bar?

Boring bars are selected to suit the specific type of processing: The shape, internal cooling, clamping (screw or pin) and material (HSS, solid carbide) must be suitable for the material and intended use.

  • How do I store indexable inserts correctly?

Store them in a dry place, in their original boxes, protected from impacts and contamination. Unused cutting inserts should not be stored loose to avoid microdamage.
